Ornate Cast Lamp Base Antique

This is a nice antique lamp base with a nicely polished black shiny finish. It is 4.5" tall with floral, and other geometric designs. It appears to be from the late 1800's to early 1900’s period, with very good cast detailing, but a few minor casting flaws noted. The metal is in very good condition overall with no damage. This base is 1.6 pounds. Unique! We note that there is no provision for an electric wire, so most likely was for a oil lamp or similar utility item. We have used it to display a paperweight in the past, make a nice display! The top inside opening is 2.5" so it is a good size for supporting different ornaments, and paperweights in you collection. A nice display stand!
