National Audubon Society Mammal Card. This is card # 36 in a set of 50. It is of a Porcupine. This card has a nice color picture on the front and information about the mammal on the back. This information states the Scientific Name, Order, Family, Length, Weight and Range. Something of interest about this mammal is porcupines don't shoot their quills. It only seems that way, for the quill studded tail can slap with lightening speed and the loosely attached, barbed needles are driven into whatever it hits. This card shows slight wear but otherwise is in excellent condition. It measures 3 3/4" by 5".
