Native Latin American Panama Art Pottery Plate, Patter date 1986 Colorful Mystic Creature., The colorful design is raised and it is 11" in diameter. Scratched in the back is "Hecho en Panama May 1986. It is very unusual and I have not been able to find any examples of the same style. The design looks like the textile art of the Kuna Indian's. However it does not seem that they worked with clay. In any event this is a nice piece is good condition. There are some scratches on the painted surfaces and a little pit from the firing process . There are no cracks or chips to worry about. It does not come with a hanger.
