Ancient 8th -7thcentury B.C. Pontic Steppe, Cimmerian iron dagger with robust, straight, double-edged blade that tapers and has a prominent medial ridge. The handle is flattened and rectangular, with grooved edges and four punched holes at the center, topped by a flattened, mushroom-shaped pommel. Additionally, a compressed winged guard is pierced to allow for a suspension cord.
