Ancient 2nd millennium B.C. North-Western Asiatic-Caspian Sea area bronze sword.

This very fine bronze sword was cast using the lost wax process. All details were hand-finished, and the edges were hand-sharpened.

Tapering double-edged blade with a median ridge. At the ricasso, there is a raised penannular panel that adds a unique touch to the sword's design. The hallowed grip with flanges edges originally would have had a bone or wooden insert, when the sword was used. But unfortunately, these have not survived the three thousand years.

This ancient bronze sword is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the people who lived in that period and region.

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 41 cm (16.14 inches)

CONDITION: It is in good condition for an antique combat bronze sword that is over 3000 years old. The surface is covered by its natural green patina and earth encrustation, the blade slightly bent.
