Or Best OfferThis is a bronze Scythian brooch from an ancient Eurasian Steppe culture dating back to the 6th-4th Century B.C. The brooch is shaped like a recumbent deer, with a slender body and pronounced musculature. The legs are folded beneath the body, and the head is large, with round eyes, facial features, and stylized antlers. The reverse side has its original clasp for attachment.

MEASUREMENTS: Height: 3.6 cm (1.42 inches)
CONDITION: In its original condition, intact, with the original pin. It shows the age and use, with a smooth dark greenish-black and dark green patina. The pin is frozen in the closed position.
PROVENANCE: This item comes from a Canadian collection that dates back to the 1980s.
