This is what myself and a lot of other dealers call "Prom Jewelry". It is a lovely clear rhinestone chain necklace with 2 swags and a pear shaped center drop. I believe this one to be older, from the 1940's because of the ornate pot metal clasp. It has 3 faux "marcasites" on the foldover clasp. It is almost as lovely as the front of the necklace. I would guess this made it as attractive as the front for those upswept hairdos! Some of the stones have begun to darken, but over all, it still has a lot of sparkle and style, lots of bang for the buck! It measures approx. 15 1/2" long and the drop is approx. 1 1/8".
