What a great necklace! The matching bracelet is also listed, so be sure to look for it! There are 15 Australian coins ranging in dates from 1911 to 1943 that I can discern. This necklace is quite a looker with the dramatic length and the foldover box link chain. The majority of the coins on this necklace are from 1943, like the bracelet. This was probably made by a returning soldier, who was trained as a lapidarist or metulurgist after the war as a new trade. Really great. It is approx. 36" long.
