Neoclassical Carved White Marble Centerpiece
Our carved marble centerpiece, from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century, has the form of a wide, flat tazza with extensive carved decorations including maidens and swans, and the figures of a maiden and horse in center. Likely of Italian origin and apparently unsigned.
There are numerous nicks and chip losses and extensive restoration to damage, noticeable particularly on the border. Some discolorations is present.
