Antique, early 19th century, Southeast Asian Burmese Silver mounted dagger Dha, Dah (or dha-hmyaung).

DETAILS: The hilt in classical Burmese style, encased by silver collar adorned with bands of roped silver wire, mounted with an extremely sharp, sturdy, hand forged, recurved single-edged blade showing on each face laminations watered pattern and secure at the base with copper washer. Solid silver scabbard lined inside with a wooden insert, is decorated en suite with the hilt adorned with bands of roped silver wire.

CONDITION: Showing the age and usage, blade with minor pitting, silver scabbard dented.

MEASUREMENTS:

Overall length of the dagger, sheathed in the scabbard: 22.5 cm (8.86 inches).
