An antique, 19th century bronze medal plaque of Emperor Napoleon I, superbly crisply cast in high relief. The plaque shows a profile bust of Napoleon Bonaparte wearing his favorite uniform as the Colonel of Chasseurs Cheval de la Garde Imperial.
The sculpture displays the artist's exceptional skills. It boasts stunning hand-chiseled details such as hair, ears, and eyes. In addition, it displays uniform details like epaulets decorated with twisted tassels, a Flaming Grenade on the bar, a sash of the Imperial Order "Legion of Honour" across his chest, and buttons. The background features hand-chiseled marks added for a unique depth and decorative effect.
The plaque is set in a circular mahogany frame and affixed with a brass suspension mount in the form of a Laurel wreath.

DIMENSIONS: Diameter: 13.5 cm (5.31 inches).

CONDITION: It is in good condition with an old patina and some age wear.
