Mounted on the wooden board adorned in the corners with four bronze polish military officer’s stars and housed in a rectangular wood frame with a thin brass inner frame with beaded design molding and decked on the exterior with four bronze brackets.
Józef (Joseph) Aumiller (1892-1963), who was an artist, sculptor, and engraver, was as well an art director of the Mennica Panstwowa (Polish State Mint) between 1925-39. He was the author of most portrait plaques from the Mennica Panstwowa (Polish State Mint).
