After 1900, his marks included the country name Austria. The absence of the country of origin tells me that this piece dates between 1871 and 1900.
Bernard Bloch was a renowned entrepreneur in the ceramic industry. He established a famous ceramic workshop that gained popularity for producing figural tobacco containers, majolica dishes, and wall plaques with erotic themes. The workshop also produced handmade and hand-painted figurines that were known for their detailed and highly refined finish. The objects created by the workshop were of both artistic and applied character and were distributed throughout the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy.
Bloch Majolica figurines are rarer than his other products, including figural tobacco containers.
