Rare antique 19th century Transcaucasian Russian Kuban or Don Cossack, scabbard, and Belt for Dagger Kindjal. DETAILS: leather-bound wooden scabbard adorned on the center with diamond shape dear bone plaque and mounted with a silvered copper chape and upper mount with the loop for suspension. The scabbard is with its original leather belt with dear bone stripes mounts. One of the small rectangular bone panels on the belt is engraved with interlocking Cyrillic initials "AK." Bone stripes decoration on Kindjal belts and scabbards are rare because most of them are decorated with silver.

 

CONDITION: Age and usage are showing. Leather belt firm and flexible, wooden scabbard with a vertical crack under the leather, however, invisible from the outside, silvering slightly worn.
