$4,000.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a remarkable antique Chinese Blue and White porcelain Ginger Jar from the Qing Dynasty Kangxi Period (1662-1722 A.D.). It features a broad-shouldered, globular body that sits on a ring foot and has a short neck and a slightly flared mouth. The body is finely hand-painted underglaze in bright shades of cobalt blue with a continuous landscape scene depicting scholars in a garden surrounded by trees and rocks. The rim has an iron oxide brown dressing, and the base is painted underglaze with a rabbit mark.

The wooden base is from a later period.

CONDITION: The jar is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips, or cracks. The irregular lines on the lower part of the jar glaze, which may look like scratches in the photos, result from the studio's light reflection and are not on the surface of the jar glaze. Therefore, the jar glaze is free of any scratches.
