Antique coral cameo brooch Large setting with C clasp

 

How gorgeous is this fabulous antique celluoid cameo that measures a whopping 2 1/2"'tall? This is one of the largest I Have seen . I was told that people would have copies made of the original genuine coral pieces so that when they traveled, a thief would not make off with the real thing. This one is highly detailed is circa 1900. Set in an ornate brass setting. this one is all original. The beautiful coral color is identical to the real thing ( photos are a bit off in color).
