Antique Dragon Miniature Stamp or trinket box with hidden hanger

When I opened this small dragon box I saw that it had a chain that was soldered on the inside and an L shaped ornate end. My guess would be that you used that hook to hang it onto a pocket of some sort. The box might have held stamps or a tiny treasure. This measures 1 1/3" x 1" and is almost 1/2" thick. I have never seen another like it.
