Terrific antique English art nouveau majolica tile from T.& R. Boote, c.1895 - 1905. The tile is in good original condition with edge wear as shown--some of the edge nicks are under the glaze and some happened after the glazing was finished; there are a few surface bruises as well about a quarter of the way up from the bottom toward left and at about center. The glaze on this tile was unevenly applied and has an (unintentional, I think) mottled appearance which is kind of kooky and attractive--definitely not T or R's best effort at glaziong--but attractive.
