Antique English Art Nouveau Tile

$105.00
Quantity available: 1

Ebullient single-glaze English art nouveau majolica tile from W&E Corn/The Henry Richards Tile Company, both molded in relief and with intaglio carved details where the glaze pools (the leaves). It is an interesting and unusual image; the back dates it to c.1900-1903; it deconstructs the usual nouveau floral image with pieces and parts arranged as a collage might be,  The tile is in good original condition with some surface wear, glaze bruising and light scratches that don't show up unless under the light. Super glossy oil-lustrey glaze. As with many of the single color tiles, this one is really hard to get a good image on the scanner; please write if you need other images.
