Antique French Art Nouveau Tile
$175.00
Fantastic glazes define this highly relief-molded tile by the French maker, Utzschneider which was located in Sarreguemines (which used to be known as Saargemund), France, c. 1896-1910. French art nouveau tiles are rarely seen on the market. Here is a wonderful flesh colored clam shell with tones of brown and green underwater plants. I have two of these tiles and have pictured them together along with tiles from listing "FBAN 1051". The are both in excellent condition with some wear as shown. Particularly, tile #1 has a slight lower right corner nick; tile #2 has a few tiny nicks to the upper edge of the shell and a glaze miss left of the shell lower down which is original to the tile. Truly standout glaze work is exhibited on these examples. Price is for one tile. Please write with any questions you may have.
*The photos taken of the two tiles together were taken with very low light; the photos of the individual tiles are representative of the true colors of the tiles.
