Fantastic abstract design in a gorgeous golden glaze from the preeminent German tile maker, Wessel Wandplattenfabrik, c. 1905. I think of Wessel glazes as the German counterpart to J & J Low glazes in the United States. They have a similar mysterious translucence. The tile is in excellent condition; please write with any questions you may have.
