Our client's tremendous Austrian clock dating from the fourth quarter of the 19th century is fashioned from silver with lapis lazuli stone in the form of a medieval tower measuring 16.5 by 7.75 by 7.74 inches including later (late 20th century) stained wooden pedestal.  It is surmounted by a knight bearing flag on top of a domed roof decorated with lapis orbs at the corners, with sides with lapis cartouches, its clock face is engraved with Roman numerals behind a beveled glass door.  The silver marks include five-lobed large mark for .800 silver, heavily worn, and dog head small silver mark, each used from 1872 to 1922, VN mark and HJ mark in rectangles, and two letter A marks, the assay marks for Vienna.  Of the style and craftsmanship of Herman Bohm (Boehm),1866-1922.  The VN maker's mark may be for Victor Nuber or Vinzenz Neginik.

In good condition with oxidation, tarnish, surface dirt, scuffs and scratches.   There is a crack and separation to one laps panel on front, a few side panels with small cracks, apparent restoration to the lapis, and small chips to the lapis including behind the openwork silver along the roof.  Chip losses at two corners of the wooden plinth.  No key. Working condition of the clock unknown.
