Antique Indian brass cosmetic container Peacock Sindoordani. Circa 1900 A.D. North-western India. Jodhpur .The containeris made from several elements whimsically adorned with three peacocks and divided into two yoni-shaped compartments. The top section forms a lid and pivots on a pin at the base of a large peacock. The top compartment is secured by the pressure of the beak of the small peacock.
Dimensions:
Overall length: 13 cm (5.12 inches).
Height; 7 cm (2.76 inches).
