Antique Islamic Holy Quran Manuscript Book

Antique Islamic Holy Quran manuscript book , finely handwritten on handmade cream-pink paper in black ink, featuring Arabic calligraphy in Naskh script with red accents.

The book consists of approximately 88 leaves and 176 pages of written text. Due to the paper's handmade nature, each leaf's thickness varies slightly.

Determining the date when this manuscript was written is quite challenging, as my knowledge of the Arabic alphabet is limited. However, the date may be found within the 176 written pages or in the texts and scripts recorded in the margins.

The Holy Quran is written on handmade paper that has distinct characteristics. The older type of handmade Muslim paper features a different structure and texture compared to the paper used for copies of the Holy Quran produced in the 18th and 19th centuries. Therefore, this manuscript may be very old.

MEASUREMENTS: 27.5 x 20cm (10.83 inches x 7.87 inches).

CONDITION: Showing signs of age and usage, some pages are folded, worn, and have damage, including holes made by insects, consistent with its age as expected in paper that is centuries old.
