Antique Islamic Turkmen Uzbek Turquoise Inlaid Chlorite Stone Teapot 18th Century

This teapot is a remarkable piece of antique art crafted between the 18th and 19th centuries. Skilled artisans from either central Asian Turkmen or Uzbek Islamic communities created it. This teapot is unique because it is made entirely out of chlorite stone, a rare mineral that is particularly difficult to carve and shape.

The exterior of the teapot is adorned with intricate carvings of elaborate medallions, each with a checkered pattern. The medallions are richly set with approximately 800 turquoise stones of different sizes, which add a vibrant splash of color to the teapot's surface. The carvings are also adorned with 62 red gems, adding elegance and contrast to the overall design.

The artisan who crafted this teapot was a master of their craft. The level of detail and care put into the design is truly remarkable.
