Antique Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) superb quality satsuma ceramic vase the baluster-shaped body with splayed foot and short everted neck, the shoulder applied with two imitation handles with braids with tassels.

The vase is finely hand painted in enamels and gold on a crackled cream ground with various shape panels painted with plants. The panels are separated by an intricate brocade style pattern. The base is hand painted with the artist signature mark.

CONDITION: Very good condition. No cracks, chips, or repairs.

MEASUREMENTS:

Height: 16 cm (6.3 inches).
