Library or Parlor 6 legged Table, Solid Wood, Oval with Cane work on the Bottom Shelf It is a Rare & Unusual Design, Not only is the bottom shelf or tier made with cane work with a wood center round piece. , it is cut inwards on each side. I assume to make room for a chair. The top has a beautiful dark patina. The wood is solid not veneered.. It appears to be walnut but I am not sure. Could be mahogany. The condition is very good. The cane work is in great shape. A few dings and a few scratches and dings here on the top and there but nothing that would take away from the loveliness of this unique table . Several people have looked at it hoping to use it as a kitchen table. But is not really suited for that purpose as you could not shove a chair all they way under. It is a library table but could be an entryway table or in front of a window to display collections or an array of family photos or maybe a work table for sewing and crafts. Here are the measurements: Height is 33", Length : 45.5" and depth: 29".
