Antique Medieval 11th -12th century Indian carved sandstone bust of a Hindu female deity India, Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh. Her naked torso with overly rounded breasts is adorned with necklace, the face with full lips, acquiline nose, and elongated eyes beneath finely arched brows, the hair pulled up into an elaborate chignon. Mounted on the custom-made modern wood stand.
MEASUREMENTS:
Height including the stand: 17 cm (6.69 inches).
PROVENANCE: Ex Private old Canadian collection of antiques and antiquities formed in the 1980s.
CONDITION: broken and re-glued, all are consistent with the age of this artifact , which is over 800 years old.
