Our client's unusual and beautiful patinated bronze box, believed to date from the 19th century, depicts desciples on all sides, raised on animal claw feet with lid surmounted by a large figure of Saint Peter.  The frieze is inscribed dixit jesue ama me petrus domine tu scis quia amo te (Jesus said, love me, Peter. lord, you know that I love you.)  15 1/4 x 22 by 11 inches.  Apparently unsigned.
