Antique Mughal Indian Bronze Wine Bottle Vessel 16th -17th Century India

This is an antique cast bronze, bottle-shaped wine vessel from North India, dating back to the 16th or 17th century. The vessel features a bulbous body that rests on a trumpet-shaped base adorned with incised rings. The tapering neck is decorated with a design of stylized petal lappets and horizontal ribs.

Vessels of this type were traditionally used for serving rice wine during weddings and various religious or ceremonial occasions.

MEASUREMENTS: Height: 24 cm (10 1/8 in.) - Diameter: 13.5 cm (5 1/4 in.)

CONDITION: It shows the age and usage, cracks on the base, and the bulbous body with some old soldering. Overall, the surface has developed a rich patina.
