Our lovely paperweight from the early to mid nineteenth century, likely of continental origin, mostly likely Russia, depicts the finely sculpted figure of a semi-nude reclined female in the neoclassicl style, on marble veneered in malachite stone. 5 5/8 by 3 7/8 by 1 3/4 inches. There are cracks and embedded surface dirt in the figure, plus restorations to the malachite including filler and inpainting.
