This is a 19th-century antique North African Islamic Moroccan terracotta pottery vessel from the Aït or Mribet Berber culture, designed in the form of an amphora.

The vessel features two handles and is hand-painted with traditional Berber tribal geometric designs in pale red and black around its body and neck.

 

MEASUREMENTS:

Height: 27 cm (10.63 inches)

Circumference (at widest point): 17cm (6.69 inches)

 

CONDITION: It is in good condition for its age, shows signs of use, and has a lovely old patina. There are no repairs or restorations.
