Antique 19th-century Polish emigration medal known as "L' Heroique Pologne" was created by medalist - Jean Jacques Barre in Paris after 1831.

A medal was minted in France in 1832 by Polish emigration activists with the aid of the Polish Bazaar Society in Lyon. The Brussels Committee for Heroic Poland designed the medal after the November Uprising.

 

Obverse: Personification of Poland (Polonia) holding a banner in the ancient style with the inscription POLOGNE and the White Eagle, supported by the personification of Belgium in a Phrygian cap, around TU NE MOURRAS PAS, in the section M.DCCC.XXXI, on the right, the signature BARRE FECIT.

Reverse: Under the stars arranged in a wreath, A L' HÉROÏQUE POLOGNE, at the bottom, there are branches - laurel and palm, and the coat of arms of Belgium - a lion.

WEIGHT: 57 grams (4.13 ounces)
