Antique Polish officer sword, model 1921/22, made by G. Borowski, is a piece of history. Its blade is inscribed with the rare motto "NIE RZUCIM ZIEMI SKAD NASZ ROD," a testament to the Polish spirit.
The sword features a characteristic regulation brass stirrup hilt and a sturdy, slightly curved single-edged steel blade, double-edged towards the point cut with a full-length fuller.
engraved with the rare motto, "NIE RZUCIM ZIEMI SKAD NASZ ROD," which translates in English as "We won't forsake the land we came from," flanked by oak tree leaves.
The ricasso is stamped by the most famous early 20th-century Polish sword maker, G. Borowski from Warszawa.
Complete with its black-painted steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
CONDITION:
Age and heavy usage are showing. It lacks the back strap, the leather bounding on the grip is a later replacement, the blade is pitted, the scabbard is pitted and damaged, with dents, a short split on the edge, and recently painted by black lacquer.
