Antique Portrait brooch Hand painted 24kt gilt Porcelain cameo with c Clasp

WHat a Beautiful young woman that has a plume hat! Marie Antoinette made these hats quite famous! This large antique painted portrait brooch, circa 1890-1900's has 24kt gold raised painted leaf on the edges. The portrait depicts a lovely young woman with a yellow dress and beautifully fashioned upswept hair. The portrait is hand painted on  porcelain. It started with a transfer and then was finished by an artist with the hand painting. It is bezel set in the original gold gilt over brass setting with an early "C" style clasp. The brooch measures about 2 1/8 inches high by about 1 1/2" wide and is in wonderful vintage condition.
