Antique Spanish American gun powder horn made of a hollowed-out cow horn, with oval base secured to the horn with nine iron pins. Curved nozzle carved with six triangles flanked by raised rings. The horn is carved along the base edge with the Spanish script” DE MIL NOVECIENTOS 4 RECUERDO DEL 20 DE NOVIEMBRE”,
CONDITION: In its original untouched condition. Free of repairs or restorations, with a superb mellow old patina. Some brass tacks are missing, and the wooden base retains the original red paint that this powder horn was painted in the 18th century
