Victorian silver-plated repousse lid with recess for sponge inside knob, atop a heavy 8-panelled glass tobacco jar. Clear glass has star-burst bottom, and buttressed base. Circa 1890s-1900. Unmarked. Measures 5.75"h x 3.75"w. Lid has small splits to the rim, as shown. Glass has no chips or cracks. Sold as is. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
