What an amazing set that this is!If you know anything about the old original aurora borealis stones, they just didn’'t coat the stones, they also incorporated different color in the actual stones. These are pure fire with golds and amber colors and the highlights in pinks and blue. This brooch alone is huge ( 3 " x 3" ) and is made so it is not flat, it flares upward. Most of the top designers from this period used high quality stones and this one designer, although somewhat unknown, did just that. The matching earrings are signed ( clip on and they are marked Garne).
