Ohio Cobbler's Shoe Last Shoe Last Stand w/ Anvil

$75.00
This is a nice antique shoe last cobbler's shoe boot stand with one size anvil (about 9.25" long working surface when mounted in place on the iron stand) that fits onto a taper tip end on the stand. The main stand frame is marked "OHIO" in raised cast lettering. The unique anvil design calls for the radial inserting movement and locks into the stand and holds tight there. The anvil is not marked regarding size. The 20" tall stand has cast areas for bolts or screws to be used to bolt it down to a work bench or table. The stand is in very good shape no damage or rust, only minor original paint wear, mostly on the bottom foot area. The anvil will set on the taper fairly snug, but a little movement is noticed depending on where down pressure is applied. The anvil and stand are in very good shape with about 75% maroon paint or japanning intact, no rust or other damage. We are not sure what Ohio tool company made this cast iron tool, but I would say most likely The Morton Last Co. I have another last and stand like this one but without the maroon and silver paint like this one has.
