Old Blue Salt Wall Pocket with Salt glaze. One of the nicest of this large size wall pockets I have seen. Lots of flow blue. It is mint condition except for the hair line at the center hole on back (see photo) This normally is broken off by the weight of the salt. The 2 holes for the nails are perfect. Rare in this good of condition. There is no manufacture mark, but it is from before 1900, maybe around 1860. A wonderful piece for your collection of stoneware. Aprox 5 3/4 x 5 3/4" It would have held over 1 lb of salt. It is heavy and weighs probably 2-3 lbs.
