Oldsmobile Lightning Bug Ad 1944 This is a March 13, 1944 advertisement It is a great color ad from Oldsmobile, Division of General Motors, with nice graphics from an early magazine. It pictures the Lightning Bug which is the insignia of the 332nd Fighter Squadron U.S. Army Air Forces. The double bodied dragon fly represents the twin engine flying power of their P 38 fighter planes. The lightning flash stands for the striking power of their fast firing aerial cannon. Oldsmobile builds these cannon in volume. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/4"" wide by 14"" tall.
