Lithograph of "The Old Monastery Wall" signed W.A. Schwartz [William A. Schwartz, Russian/American, 1896-1977). Well listed and the youngest artist to have a one man show at the Chicago Art Institute, where he taught. This was executed circa 1930 and is in wonderful original condition, re-framed with acid free backing and ultraviolet protective glass. The oil painting of this scene was featured in Hirschl & Adler's catalogued exhibition on the works of William S. Schwartz in 1984, painted in 1932. 18 1/2" by 16 1/2", framed; 10 1/2" by 8 1/2" sight size.
