Pair of antique over 100 years old Chinese Qing Dynasty unusual stem cups – goblets. Each goblet is finely hand-carved from natural organic bone composed of globular form bowl with deep, rounded sides, intricately decorated in high relief with three celestial dragons amidst swirling clouds.
The cups are raised on a short, knopped spreading foot, which is carved with lappets and rests on a circular base. The rim is adorned with a band featuring a Greek key pattern.
Each cup is hand-engraved at the base with unique Chinese characters.
MEASUREMENTS (approximately):
Height: 9 cm (3.54 inches)
Width at the widest point of the bowl: 9.5 cm (3.74 inches).
WEIGHT:
Weight of the one cup: 235 grams.
The weight of the second cup is 220 grams.
CONDITION: It is in very good condition with a low patina. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
