Pair Antique Chinoiserie Porcelain Sconces with Forward Family Crest

Unavailable

Our beautiful pair of antique Chinese Qianlong Dynasty (1736-1795) style sconces are crafted from porcelain and bronze and feature the painted and parcel gilt figures of a seated buddha flanked by foo dogs, and British armorial hand-painted decorations.  Of continental origin, possibly from Edme Samson of Paris.  Good condition, with crazed surface and minimal wear to the painted surfaces, and some fine cracks and possible restorations visible on rear.  Each decorated with the family crest of the English name, Forward.
