Our client's pair of antique (nineteenth century) glass vases feature magnificent hand-painted decorations of birds of prey and gilding at the base and rim. Very likely from Baccarat. One depicts a hawk confronting a snake and the other depicts a perched hawk with captured prey under its talon. Each measures 22 by 8.75 in (56 by 22 cm). Each in good condition, with some rubbing wear to the gilding at base and rims, possibly inpainting in gold, scratches, and tiny nicks at the bases.  Each measures 22 by 8.75 in (56 by 22 cm).
