Pair Antique German Orientalist Genre Paintings on Board

Included here are a pair of Orientalist genre oil paintings on wooden panel, of German or Austrian origin and dating from the early 20th century.  The work on the right depicts a European soldier turning in his saddle.  The paper label on the rear bears the title, Recognoscuting (Recognizing).  The work on the left depicts an Arab fighter on horseback and bears a paper label reading "Araber auf  Verposten (Arab on Outpost). Panels measure 7.5 x 9.25 in, and the frames measure 10 x 13 in. Each carries the monogram of the artists who are unknown.
