Or Best OfferPair of antique 19th century Berlin KPM (Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur) (Royal Porcelain Manufacture) porcelain cups and saucers in Biedermeier style, finely hand painted with a portrait of the Frederick William III (or in German: Friedrich Wilhelm III) King of Prussia from 1797 to 1840.
The king is wearing a blue uniform with epaulets and a red and gold stand-up collar, with the Star of the Order of the Black Eagle, the Iron Cross of Prussia, and the Cross of St. George of Russia attached to the coat, all in oval gold gilt frames and bordered with gold gilded rims.
The Queen Louise of Prussia, wife of King Frederick William III, is wearing a crown, headband, and elegant empire-line dress.
Each cup is meticulously hand-painted with the royal name and marked with an underglaze blue scepter.
CONDITION: in very good condition, no chips, cracks, or crazing, with no restorations or repairs.
