Our pair of vintage stained wooden pedestals feature Nero Portoro black marble with streaks of brown on top and each otheir four sides.

Dating from the early/mid twentieth century, they're in good condition, with scratches, nicks and wear to the stained finish. Their marble color and geometric form will especially compliment any Art Deco or modern decor.

Portoro marble comes from Portovenere, an island in the La Spezia province in the Liguria region in northern Italy.  It was a favorite choice among sculptors and foundries for use as pedestals for scupture during the Art Deco period, but has been quarried since Roman times.
