Mario Toso Carnelian Red Murano Glass Vases

Unavailable

Our rare pair of massive carnelian red glass vases, each signed "M. Toso Murano" were designed by Mario Toso.  Each 16 inches across and 12.25 inches tall.

Similar to the designs of Vittorio Zecchin (1878-1947) and Napoleone Martinuzzi (1891-1977).

Mario Toso was one of three sons of Luigi Toso, co-founder of the influential firm that in 1939 became known as Barovier Toso.

At various times, Luigi's sons, Artemio, Decio and Mario, all played a part in management of the family business in the decades after their father's passing in 1933.  In 1976 the firm was reorganized as Barovier & Toso Srl, with Mario Toso serving as President and Angelo Barovier as Director.
