Pair Antique Greco-Roman Blue Glazed Porcelain Urns
This pair of antique soft paste porcelain or pottery urns with blue glaze finish date from as early as the 1880s, and are decorated with Roman chariot racers on front and profiles of Greek or Roman males. They are mounted on turned wooden pedestals with gold painted finish, and were drilled for use as lamps in the early 20th century. Each measures 21" tall and 6" across. Each has extensive restorations, including overpainting. May easily be fitted again with lamp hardware.
